Håfa Adai!
On the island of Guam, an estimated 60,000 free-roaming dogs and cats call our streets home. While their presence is part of our daily landscape, many of these animals suffer from preventable conditions—mange, tick and flea infestations, untreated injuries, and malnutrition—and reproduce constantly.
A small but dedicated group of community members regularly steps in to help—paying out of pocket for emergency vet care, treatment, prevention and spay/neuter services. But we can't do it alone.
Why We're Fundraising
We're launching this GoFundMe to raise funds specifically to support spay and neuter donations for stray and community animals through the SNIP (Spay and Neuter Island Pets) Program, a vital initiative developed by Guam’s Department of Agriculture and Guam Animals in Need (GAIN).
This amazing program now allows residents to bring in free-roaming dogs and cats for free spay/neuter services—a major step toward reducing the stray population humanely and effectively.
Although the service is offered at no cost, donations of $50–$100 per animal are encouraged to keep the program going and expand its reach.
Our goal is to cover these donation fees for the community animals we bring in.
How Your Donation Helps
Every dollar raised goes directly to:
- Donation fees to SNIP on behalf of stray/community dogs and cats
- Helping offset costs of transport, follow-up care, and supplies for those bringing in the animals
We will keep a detailed record of animals we bring in and share periodically, photos of animals included!
What animals will receive
When a community animal is brought to SNIP they receive
- Ear tag (dog) or tip (cat) to mark that they have had surgery.
- Spay or Neuter surgery
- Microchip
- DAPP or HCP vaccine
- Rabies Vaccine if 12 weeks of age or older
Supporting the health and safety of our island’s animals and residents
Spaying and neutering is the most effective way to reduce suffering and stop the endless cycle of unwanted litters, disease, and neglect.
We Can’t Do This Without You
Your support—whether $5 or $50—makes a real difference. Together, we can build a healthier, more compassionate island for all its two- and four-legged residents.
