Spay & Neuter help needed

Donation protected
For 13 years now I’ve been working on doing humane trap/neuter/return or rescue/rehabilitate in many areas of New Haven and Hamden.

For a few years I noticed a real difference in numbers going down and being more managed at locations that I maintain.

Due to the pandemic, abandonment of animals being at an all time high, climate change and breeding seasons never ending, not to mention inflation, the number of homeless animals out on the streets have doubled if not tripled.

Local rescues are literally bursting at the seams and it feels like we rescuers are all drowning in this battle of overpopulation even with more people doing the work, it’s endless.
So many folks in rescue that I know personally are all exhausted beyond belief but we push on through because we know if we don’t that means a lot of animals will suffer and die without human intervention.

As most of you know, I’m not a non-profit organization and I don’t get financial backing to do this volunteer work. Eventually, I plan on starting my own non-profit, that’s my long term goal to be able to help the animals even more in the future and create a team of people to help me do so.
For now, I need to be able to raise money to continue spaying/neutering these poor forgotten animals to be able to stop them from breeding and dying on the streets. Winter is coming so this is even more urgent to get them altered and healed up sooner than later.

Thankfully, one of the veterinarians I work with gives me discounted prices for what I do with the ferals which includes spay/neuter, vaccines, flea/tick and internal parasite preventive and snap combo testing for feline aids and feline leukemia. This does not include anything extra like antibiotics or steroids if a cat needs such medications due to injuries. I have listed total costs below for people who are interested.

I am asking my amazing and incredibly generous community of supporters if you would all consider donating towards helping me to continue this crucial work to improve the lives of homeless cats. A lot of these animals are able to be pulled off the streets and get socialized and get into good homes.
If you’re unable to donate I understand completely, if you could please share this fundraiser that helps greatly as well.

If you prefer donating directly to my veterinarian here’s the information. You can just tell them to add it to Stacy Attenberg’s account for the feral and stray cats.

Thank you all for your continued support and generosity to help these animals!
I couldn’t do it without all of your help between cat food/supply donations, the rescues that help me and the veterinarians, I’m beyond grateful for every single one of you always!

Here is the cost associated with what I do:

$147 for female cat (spay, rabies and distemper vaccines, snap test (FIV/FeLV) & Revolution flea/tick/parasite preventive)

$132 for male cat (neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, snap test (FIV/FeLV) & Revolution flea/tick/parasite preventive)

With much appreciation and gratitude,
