COVID has hit our local open intake city shelter hard. Due to staff exposure/infection, they have had to temporarily close their medical department. This means that animals in their care cannot be spayed and neutered, and since ACCT does not want to release unaltered  animals, they cannot adopt out any animals currently in their care who have not been fixed yet. 

For a shelter that operates as the ONLY open intake shelter in a large city, clogging up the flow of adoptions could force ACCT to have to turn strays/owner surrenders away-- or worse.

We, Philly Bully Team, have decided to step up. We have reached out to our friends at Washington Ave Vet Hospital, as well as our friends at Providence Animal Center and they have made room in their schedules to accommodate some ACCT Philly dogs to get them fixed. Now, we have to raise the money to pay for as many procedures as possible. 

We have 4 procedures scheduled at Washington Ave Vet next week. This money will go to pay for them, and the rest will go to Providence Animal Center to pay for as many surgeries as they can accommodate. 

Raising funds for spay/neuter will directly save lives because it will then make these dogs available to the public, which clears out kennel space at the shelter, allowing more animals to come in. Please consider a donation to help our friends out!

We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Philadelphias most at risk pitbulls and pitbull type dogs. We frequently pull dogs who are in great need of behavioral or medical intervention from the city shelters death row. We then provide the life saving training and/or medical care that the dogs need to get ready to find their forever homes!
