Hi everyone! My name is Shaindel Beers, and I’m the Vice President of PAWS in Pendleton, Oregon, but today I'm raising funds for one of our partner organizations, Cat Utopia.
Cat Utopia has run out of grant funding for spay/neuter and desperately needs help with this service. They can spay or neuter feral cats for only $60 each, thus ending the cycle of nonstop breeding and endless suffering of homeless cats. According to the ASPCA, one pair of cats can produce 2 or more litters per year which can result in 400,000 cats in 7 years!
Cat Utopia is currently helping with a colony of cats in my own neighborhood, which I pass by every day on a run. Kind people feed cats that have been abandoned at a trailer park, and they need to get these cats spayed/neutered as soon as possible before their numbers are unsustainable. I discovered these kitties when I was asked to help with five tiny, baby orphaned kittens, who all survived and are being adopted into wonderful homes. But the problem is much bigger than those five kittens. There are at least thirty cats who need to be spayed/neutered.
Please help now if you can with any size donation. Thank you!
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share!
Sincerely,
Shaindel
