Spartan Dischords 40th Anniversary Concert

As you may know, the Dischords were “officially” formed in 1982 which means 2022 brings upon the group’s 40th anniversary. Stop and think about that for a moment. 40 fricking years. --and yes, the traditions you know and love are still being honored to this day.
I think it's best we honor those 40 years of harmony, humor, and brotherhood with a good old fashioned 40th Anniversary Concert next Spring, (April 2022).
The format would be entirely dependent on which of us can wrangle together groups and songs to sing. Ideally we would feature performances from groups of older guys, performances from the current group, all-together performances of traditional Dischord songs (Lion Sleeps Tonight, Love Road, Love Train, etc.), and maybe an all-together performance of a new song so us old farts can learn something new.
In terms of funding, I’m hoping if everyone chips in a little, we could cover the rental / decoration costs and then donate the proceeds from the event to the current group. They could definitely use it right now. Either that, or we find a way to front the rental costs and use the proceeds to reimburse. I put the goal at $10,000 which definitely seems like a lot-- but it's wholly doable if we all chip in $100 a Discard. Regardless, whatever we scrounge up should be good enough to fund the celebration
