Sparking Joy for Learning, One Child at a Time!

Nearly 75 percent of high school students feel negatively about school. My name is Latriece M. Spires and I am on a mission to shift that narrative. In elementary school, I was considered gifted—not so much for book smarts, but because of my creativity. Over the past 20 years in the field of education, I’ve seen the spark and love for learning dwindle significantly! What if we joined forces to create the change that we want to see starting at the foundational level?

I am shifting the paradigm and you can help by funding my microschool.

HeartQuest STEAM Prep is my microschool located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Although tiny, we’re mighty! Our 3 areas of focus are: Christ, the heart, and STEAM. With smaller numbers, we are able to emphasize personalized learning through teaching scripture, helping students self-regulate, and create. We wholeheartedly believe that all students are able to thrive while having fun!
