Spark the Joy in Travis again

Donation protected
Travis is this feisty little dog boy, who's got a style all his own--, rocking cool hoodies in the fall, cozy turtle necks in the winter, and tank tops in the summer. Sometimes his breath is a bit stinky, and his farts can be fierce. But that's just Travis being Travis. He's also famously known for nipping people’s ankles when they don’t properly say hi or if they get too friendly without his permission. You just never quite know what you'll get. He acts like a cat most days, but definitely a good doggo through and through. We don’t know what he is, but he’s something special for sure.

A couple of years ago, Travis wasn’t doing so well. He seemed depressed, wasn’t very active, and looked like he might be nearing his time to cross the rainbow bridge.… But when his older human sister came back from a very long trip, he found his second breath and started living with a spark no one had seen in him in years. In the last two years, he's been on more adventures than he can count with his four paws! He's gone camping many times, ran after ducks and turtles, braved the beaches of California, trekked up the mountains, hiked in the forest, turning every new smell into a core memory that he carried in his dreams .

Now, at 15 spins around the Sun, this little adventurer started to have a couple of health issues. He's been diagnosed with severe glaucoma in his left eye-- the worst his vet has seen. There's a good chance he will lose vision in his left eye due to optic nerve damage caused by the liquid pressure build up because of the glaucoma. Doc said that he would need surgery, to repair the damages or to either remove the eye entirely. Without the surgery, Travis is living in constant pain, as if having migraines nonstop. There is also the possibility that his eye could rupture. We humbly ask you friends for your support, as the cost of the surgery is unexpectedly significant at this time.

We are hoping that this GoFundMe would help us and give Travis the chance to keep enjoying his little pleasures and experiencing the world a little bit more-- enjoying the walks in the parks, the forests, the beaches, and meeting friends old and new, as he has surprisingly gotten better at socializing. Thank you for taking the time to listen and get to know this sweet little old crusty dog, and know that we can't do this without your help.
Travis says "thank you too," too in his own special way.
