Have you ever been run over by a truck and left to die, crushed under the mass of metal, back broken, ribs crushed, your body melting to the exhaust manifold as strangers and EMTs jack up the truck and have to cut your body separate from the burning hot machine?

Have you ever been homeless, trying to find a way out of the streets, when something comes out of nowhere and kicks you so hard while you are down that you hit the rockiest bottom there can ever be?

Well, I have.

I do not recommend it.

When I was under that truck, I begged God to let me live so I could see my family again, and I promised that if I lived, I would change, clean up my act, and get off the streets for good.

My unborn child did not survive the vehicular assault, but thanks to good Samaritans, first responders, doctors, nurses, and the grace of God, here I am.

Still kicking, sort of.

My wounds are extensive. I have had many surgeries, skin grafts, several wound vacs, and more surgeries are on the way.

I have no home, no belongings, no way to support myself while I try to recover from this nightmare.

This is why I am coming to you, good-hearted strangers who are looking to help others.
