Memorial Service for Mark Cannon
Donation protected
On Friday, October 21, 2022, my brother-in-law, Mark Cannon, had an accident on his motorcycle. Mark was crossing Highway 16 in Spalding County and collided with a freight truck. Mark had extensive bodily injuries, including damage to his brain, lost his right leg, and was placed on a ventilator at Grady Memorial Hospital. On Thursday, October 27th it was determined that Mark would not live without life support. His 24-year-old son, Josh and 23-year-old stepson, Chanceller decided that Mark be taken off life support. Mark did not have a lot, but he had a huge heart. Mark was an organ donor.
Sunday October 30th, Mark was taken off life support and passed away within a few minutes. Josh and Chanceller were with Mark when he left this world. These two young adults are now faced with making final arrangements. They need prayers for strength and guidance through the days ahead. Both young men have already suffered a loss in their lives. Josh lost his sister in a car accident last year, and Chanceller lost his father when he was 5 years old. The boys have been through a lot and should not have the burden of getting the funds to pay for a simple memorial service, but they do.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. Both boys are grateful for every donation during this difficult time. All the funds raised will go to cover the cost of Mark's final arrangements.
