My name is Rachel Michel, I'm a student in the Fisher College of Business at THE Ohio State University studying International Business. Why am I on GOFUNDME.com? I'm here to ask for help from my friends and family. I have an amazing opportunity to intern at a winery in Spain. The problem? That trip is going to cost quite a bit of money and a global experience is a requirement of my degree.
The internship is a two-month stint near Madrid, if I can raise the funds. With that said, anything and everything helps. Consider it a Christmas present.. birthday present... you can pull the "I helped you get to Spain" card on any and every occasion!
The program fee is just under $5,000 and is due February 15th. I also have to book a ticket as soon as possible and will cost roughly $1,500 to fly internationally. In addition, I am responsible for all travel expenses while in Spain, which could prove fairly expensive depending on the winery I am placed with and is expected to be about $150 per week for 8 weeks. Also, all interns are individually responsible for all food and activities during the internship. (Not to mention, the fact that I will have all of my normal bills for two months while not working!)
To be frank, I wouldn't ask if I didn't have to. I'm a big fan of being my own savior, but this time, I truly need your help. Invest in my future, and there may just be some Spanish wine in yours!
