Hello all! My name is Ralph Rivera and I'm creating a gofundme for my good friend Spaghetti. For everyone here, new friends and old, Spaghetti is a spunky little dog from the south side of Chicago, beloved by all who meet her, especially her beautiful parents Joe and Kate. She has recently fallen into some pretty scary medical situations and I'm hoping we can help them all out.
Over the past couple of weeks, Spaghetti has been in and out of the vet's office and emergency rooms trying to figure out exactly what was going on. The theories ranged from a simple (though still unfortunate) arthritis diagnosis to a more serious slipped disc, but after a scary emergency visit in the early morning of May 16th, the doctors found significant swelling in her brain, leading into her spinal chord, and further diagnosed her with an autoimmune disease which caused meningitis. She has started her treatment right away and is now back home with her parents, being spoiled and cuddled and made to feel as safe as possible.
Maybe it goes without saying, but all of these trips have added up quickly and with the added stress of EVERYTHING going on, it's a hard hill to climb on ones own. Your donation will go towards Spaghetti's already accrued vet bills, as well as her ongoing treatment plan.
I have been friends with Joe and Kate a combined total of two decades. They are two of the most beautiful, warm, and gracious people I've ever met. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say Spaghetti is truly the center of their universe and it's easy to see why. Please give in any way you can and share this so we can make sure these three have a lot more time together!
