Support Waffle's Journey to Recovery

Hello, my name is Luis Cornejo. I had a medical emergency with my best friend, Waffle . Waffle is my cat who I love very much. Waffle had a sudden change from one day to the next. The night before everything happened, everything was normal. I came home from the gym, and he was waiting for me at the door like always. I fed him his favorite snacks, and we went to bed. That morning, I woke up, saw him, and picked him up, and he meowed in pain, which was unusual. Later that morning, I noticed that he kept going to the cat litter, but nothing was coming out. After the third visit and no luck, I decided to rush him to the ER since he kept making noises and tried to hide. I came to find out that he was blocked by stones and couldn't urinate. The vet performed X-rays and blood work to find out that his bladder was filled with stones that looked like sand and bigger stones that were creating the blockage. I couldn't put my cat down. I don't have the heart to do that. I did whatever I could, gave away my savings to save his life. Surgery was very complex. The vet said that usually it would take 30 minutes to remove stones, but the stones were embedded into his organ and urinary system that the whole procedure took 1 1/2 hours. Very challenging surgery, but it was a success. After the surgery, we ran into another problem. Waffle had developed anemia due to blood loss and blood in his urine and also all the IV that was going in. We had to perform a blood transfusion that took 4 hours. Waffle had to stay that night and day to be monitored and also perform more blood work. Finally, everything leveled to normal readings. Waffle began to eat and also urinate on his own. I picked up Waffle, and we are finally home. Total bill came out to $8,700 I'm asking from the bottom of your heart to donate whatever you can. I still need to invest in more meds and UTI medical food, which is not cheap. Please share my post; anything helps. I don't like asking for help, but this hit me like a ton of bricks! I love my cat, and I'll do whatever I can to make him happy and keep him going.
