UPDATE (April 20th, 2024) : John is almost done with his radiation treatment. They had to stop for a week to give his body a break due to third degree burns. They will resume when everything is mostly healed. He is also on chemo pills which that has been paused as well.

When it rains, it pours. My parents have received an eviction notice that they have to be out of the house prior to May 15th. It's one of those "the owner is selling the house" situation. It is bad timing due to lack of being able to show income. However, we are reaching out to the community of Boise, to help them find a private renter, or someone who is willing to give them a chance to move into a home for rent as he will go back to work when radiation is done in a few weeks.

Thank you to everyone who has helped them so far! He has received a laptop that was donated to him, and he is very grateful to have a working laptop.

My parents need help. John was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year (2023). They started out with the hardest and longest chemo treatment hoping to kill it off quickly that way. Unfortunately, that didn’t work in our favor. And other treatment ideas are being analyzed.

John is the money-making person in the family, where my mom stays home to babysit grandkids so that their mothers can work.

Due to cancer, it has restricted John’s working abilities. Chemo/treatments making him feel very sick, biopsy/surgeries limit how much he can carry/do, and there’s the exhaustion where he gets tired easily.

Of course, that makes meeting financial responsibilities harder to meet.

St. Lukes has been wonderful working with us on their side of bills. However, other bills are piling up quickly. That’s where they need help.

Anything left over will fund shoes that are good for his feet that are in intense pain from chemo, and good quality laptop so that he can video chat with his family in Australia.
