Keith Sowder - a compassionate family man, avid fisherman and hunter - has been married to his wife, Brigid, for 18 years. Keith and Brigid have three boys - Samuel, Josiah and Evan (16,13, 8). In 2014, Keith was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Keith's MS has taken a severe form and has drastically affected his life since his diagnosis five years ago. Keith has not been able to keep up with his boys the way that he would love to.

Keith has graciously served the Amberley Village community for many years as a police officer. Keith’s MS forced him into an early retirement and his wife, Brigid temporarily took over as a dispatcher in order to continue to help the Amberley Village community. With having three boys and a husband who needs full time care, Brigid brings in the sole income for their family. Keith’s medical bills and the expenses of raising a family has left a stress on the Sowder family. Although Keith may be wheelchair bound with limited speech abilities, severe muscle spasms, multiple hospital visits and other effects of the debilitating disease; it has not crushed his spirit or his faith. Keith is also in need of a trach tube to help him breathe. The Sowder family have been active, helping members of Center Pointe Christian Church for many years. Even through their trials their support to the church and community has not relented. Now, it is our turn as a community to support this incredible family.

The Sowder family is currently using a van that is old, in bad shape and does not fit Keith’s large wheelchair. The lift in the van is broken, which makes it near impossible for Keith to get into the van. A new van is costly and out of the question for the Sowder family to invest in on their own.

Please consider donating to help support the Sowder family. The medical bills and need for a new, handicap van have become incredibly expensive. Every amount helps – no matter how small or large.

If you have any questions, or are considering a
larger (tax deductible) donation, you can reach out to me directly.
Thank you,
