Sovia's Vet Bill

Hi, my name is Alex, and my fur baby, Sovia, is sick. After a scare earlier in the week, where the vet thought she had a UTI, Sovia's condition has since deteriorated. They suspect it is pneumonia and are monitoring her in an oxygen tent at the hospital over the weekend.

This is really freakin' expensive.

The examination and medication from last Sunday was $259.50.

The follow-up consultation and x-ray was $308.

Admission to the hospital required an upfront deposit of $1000.

Each day she is in there, on oxygen, could cost between $1,373-$1,663.

I am currently casually employed, with COVID not helping at all, and my savings account wasn't exactly bursting at the seams before my cat decided to bankrupt me.

But I will do whatever it takes to look after her, because I love her very much, and have done since the first day I got her as an RSPCA rescue. That was more than seven years ago. Notwithstanding this pneumonia, I reckon she's easily got another seven years in her.
