Sovay's Interlochen Animation Camp

Our eleven year old daughter has been accepted to attend an Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Animation Camp designed to build and develop the skills she needs to effectively express herself as an aspiring animator. The IAC summer program is considered the nation’s premier multidisciplinary summer arts program for aspiring artists in grades 3 through 12. She'll be joining students from around the world and celebrated guest artists.

She has loved to draw characters and stories since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Every spare moment of any day you'll find her sketching and illustrating. Even while watching films and videos, she'll pause them to put their inspiration into her own work.

The camp is a three week program using state of the art industry tools. She's taught herself to animate using free animation apps that can be found for her tablet, but this would give her the skills to create full feature animations. 

Tuition is almost seven times more than we budget to cover summer activities, so we're giving a shot to raise half of the tuition through GoFundMe. No matter what, though, we'll find a way make this work.
