The Chris Souza Foundation

On July 23rd, 2015, Chris Souza  tragically passed away, leaving a large family and military service greatly missing his presence.  Chris was a distinguished veteran of both the USMC and the VA Army National Guard, serving honorably for over 25 years.  In addition to his many awards and badges, Chris was a tireless advocate of servicemen and veterans here at home.  Prior to his passing, Chris and his wife Amanda were instrumental in working to establish a Veterans Services nonprofit in the Central Virginia area, which is being renamed in his name to honor and memorialize his dedication to this cause. 

The Souza Family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, any contributions be made in Chris’s memory to this fund to be used to further Veterans outreach and support, continuing a mission that Chris strongly believed in.
