The 2019 Southwood Cowboy baseball team is working hard to restore the foundation of our proud program. At The Ranch we believe there are three keys to being the best Cowboy we can be, classroom, community, and TEAM.
First, our student-athletes are excelling in the classroom. Just a few of the accomplishments during this school year include; 2 players receiving Academic All State honors, 10 players are members of the National Honors Society, team GPA of 3.25, as well 2019 Southwood High Student of The Year.
Southwood Baseball players have participated and donated countless hours of community service. These include working with organizations such as Feed The Homeless - Shreveport, The Lighthouse, and organizing a book drive to benefit elementary schools in our own Caddo neighborhoods.
They are also continuously working to maintain and improve our facilities all while committing to the training required by the game of baseball.
The season got underway this week and we are excited to see it unfold. We are in the final stage of fundraising and need your help to finish strong. Reaching our target of $10,000 will guarantee the availability of funds to furnish the following necessities for our student-athletes: meals on the road, transportation, uniform replacements, repairs to our infield batting practice tunnel, infield turf protector, protective screens, baseballs, and other miscellaneous equipment for our players.
Your financial contribution will allow us to continue to provide the greatest opportunity for our young men to be successful.
We thank you for your continued support,
Sincerely,
Jay Hearne
