Earlier this year, our lives were turned upside down when my partner suffered a serious brain injury. It was an incredibly frightening and uncertain time — but thanks to the incredible care, expertise, and compassion of the team at Southmead Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, he was given the best possible chance at recovery.

The ICU staff at Southmead went above and beyond, they offered unwavering support to us as a family during an immensely challenging time. We will never forget the compassion, dedication, and patience they showed us.

As my partner continues his recovery journey, I’ve been looking for a way to give something back to those who made such a difference at such a crucial time. I’ve decided to set up this fundraiser to raise money specifically for the ICU department at Southmead Hospital. All funds raised will be donated directly to support their vital work — whether that’s through new equipment, staff support, or improvements to the patient and family experience.
