Southern Vermont Music and Dance Camp!

Calling all lovers of, believers in, and supporters of homegrown community music…

Last year, with your help, we launched our new nonprofit, Southern Vermont Traditional Music, and enjoyed a successful first RiverJam Romp. Thank you!

As we move toward our second RiverJam Romp, we need your support. This year we seized the chance to relocate to our dream spot, Potash Hill (the former Marlboro College campus). This opportunity came much sooner than we anticipated, and we simply couldn't pass it up. But it has stretched our fledgling finances, and we need some help with operating expenses as we make this transition.

RiverJam Romp takes place one weekend each year in southern Vermont with traditional fiddling, picking, singing, jamming, social dancing, and all of the shared joys of our local and regional music and dance scene. It's an opportunity to showcase, celebrate, preserve, and evolve the traditions carried by our incredible musicians and dance callers throughout the region.

Money raised this year will help us pay our amazing staff and fulfill our agreement with Potash Hill. For more information about RiverJam Romp, our staff, and our vision, visit the RiverJam Romp website at theromp.org.

Potash Hill is absolutely gorgeous, the dorms are all-season and spacious, and there is plenty of space for tent camping and parking, with capacity for more participants than ever before. We intend for Potash Hill to be our long-term home.

In addition, to support our goal of making RiverJam Romp financially accessible to anyone who wants to attend, our scholarship fund needs a boost as well. Can you help?

Donations sent by check are tax-deductible and fee-free. If you would prefer to mail your donation, write a check to "Southern Vermont Traditional Music" and mail it to SVTM, 1279 Hinesburg Road, Brattleboro, VT 05301.

Be part of the ever-evolving tradition of community music in our region! Join us now with any size contribution to help us sustain our vision long into the future.
