SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY SUPPORT

Hey everyone!
Since I was young, I have always dreamed of getting the opportunity to study abroad. I didn't know where or how God would make a way for this to happen, but I knew that He had a great plan.
Last March, I got the opportunity to visit a church in Florida to learn more about ministry and fell in love with the place, weather but above all else, the people. While I was there, I heard about Southeastern University and as I learned more about it, I was amazed that I could study at a Christian University while pursuing a degree programme that would give me the opportunity to study a liberal arts degree. From the facilities, opportunities, degree programmes, people and area, it far exceed all my expectations of what a university experience could be. God always has more for us than we can imagine.
As I flew away from America that March, I prayed a quiet prayer in my heart and asked for God's will to be done in the situation. I shared all of this with my parents when I came home and the three of us prayed for a few weeks before we all felt that this was something God had put on our paths. So I began the long process of applying and getting all my papers together. I sat my SATs, gathered a transcript, got references, filled out paperwork and learned everything I could about this university that sounded too good to be true.
On the 17th of January, I received an email...I had been accepted! I jumped around my room frantically and rushed down the stairs to tell my parents who celebrated with me. I was overwhelmed and felt the peace of God so strongly. Not only had I been accepted, but I had also been awarded a scholarship that would cover much of the tuition due to my academic achievements. I accepted the place and all my documentation is now completed. My final step is attending my US embassy interview which will take place very soon for my 4 year visa.
I am simply setting up this gofundme because although the money for my tuition, dorm and food is financed through my wonderful parents and scholarship; other fees such as insurance and flights are some extra costs that come with this move. God has already supplied finances in amazing ways already through job opportunities I have had and also generous friends, however, every little helps in making the adventure the best it can be.
I will be moving in at the end of August. It is bittersweet, but I truly believe this is my next step and I am incredibly grateful for all of the support. I will be home next Summer and I am already looking forward to seeing everyone after my first college year. Stepping into the unknown can seem a little daunting, but with supportive friends and a loving God, I feel so ready and excited for all to come.
