Hi my name is Harrison I’m doing the London to Brighton bike ride on September 14th and I’m raising money for Southampton hospital charity. Last year we found out that our little girl was going to be born with spina bifida we were told she would need to be born in Southampton as this is where all the specialist for her condition are based.
Rosie was in the neonatal intensive care unit for the first few days of her life due to her needing assistance with breathing also having an operation at a day old. We then got transferred to the G2 ward in Southampton general hospital, we spent the best part of 3 weeks there.
Rosie had surgery again on the 27th may due to needing a shunt fitted. We were welcomed back by our now extended family on the G2 ward, the hard work they all put it will always be appreciated.
Me and my whole family will always be thankful for what they have done and this is our way of giving back.
