South Whitley K-9 Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gage Fannin and I was recently selected to become a K-9 handler for the South Whitley Police Department. South Whitley is a small town located in Whitley County, a few miles west of Fort Wayne. Getting the opportunity to become a K-9 handler is one of the most rewarding yet challenging jobs a law enforcement officer could have but having that partner by your side to serve and protect the community is worth every part of it. A K-9 officer is an invaluable part of any communities’ law-enforcement and community relations. From working to keep illegal drugs off of our streets, to having the ability to assist in searches for dangerous criminals, the short term expense of raising money for a K-9 provides a long term return on investment of the safety of our community. Due to the proximity of where I live, I would also be able to assist other nearby agencies if requested during my off-duty time. Because our department is a small department made up of only five full time officers, our budget is not able to fund the majority of the expense of the K-9 program. Because of this we are applying for grants and seeking donations to make this dream a reality. Thank you in advance and if anyone has any questions feel free to message me!
