Tracy Waterfallen has trained and cared for thousands of Kingwood’s furry family members over the past 25+ years since opening the South Paw Doggie Daycare and Training Center off Ford Road in Porter. Tracy, husband Kevin, and kids Kelby and Kyla are well known in local canine flyball and agility circles as well. Tracy started her career in animal care as a vet tech at local veterinary clinics after graduating from KHS in 1989.
On Tuesday, May 7, the severe rains in the Kingwood/Porter area flooded the South Paw boarding and Doggie Daycare, their new building under construction, and their home with 4-6 inches of water. During the flooding, the Waterfallens and South Paw staff took care of many dogs who were on site for daycare or boarding, some of whom remain on site today while their owners are out of town.
Tracy, Kevin and family have been working to remove drywall, flooring and damaged furniture, appliances and home goods this week. The damage to her buildings and belongings is extensive, as every room was flooded.
Please join me in showering the Waterfallens with just a bit of the love they have shown to our animals all these years. Every dollar will help them get back on their feet and get South Paw up and running.
