Good day dear ones,

Bethel Lutheran Church, in South Minneapolis, shares our building with various complementary not-for-profit organizations. This includes some ministries that have been, and continue to be, negatively affected by the ICE occupation of our city.

Bethel is asking you to donate in order to assist these organizations with their financial needs. The funds will be allocated to provide discounted rent for these organizations while supporting the ongoing cost of operations at Bethel. It will also be given directly to these organizations to assist their members and clients with any immediate needs - rent, lawyer fees, groceries, etc. We trust these organizations and know they will use these gifts well.

The four ministries directly affected by ICE include two Hispanic congregations, one Hispanic 12-step group, and one food distribution program whose clients include many immigrants. Anything helps and makes a difference for the neighbors we love.

Although we know there are announcements that the ICE surge will be leaving soon, there are many families and neighbors who will still need help in recovering from the lasting effects of this occupation. We appreciate your assistance in continuing to assist our immigrant neighbors as their needs become more clear.
