On the evening of Saturday October 29th, more than 100,000 people visited Itaewon, Seoul to enjoy the Halloween. Mostly teens, 20s, and some 30s, were stuck into Itaewon street. Around 10:15pm, crowds surging in different directions causing people to fall (domino effect). People fell, piling one person on to another, and many of people stuck while they are on standing position. There were hundreds of people tightly compressed and interlocked together, and the first responders were unable to pull people out, delaying first air and resuscitation.

There were dozens of people performing CPR on victims. With resuscitations failing, bodies started to pile on the streets and covered with blankets and clothing.

Four victims were teenagers, ninety-six people were in their twenties, thirty-two people were in their thirties, nine were in their forties, and thirteen have yet to be identified. Twenty-six foreigners were among the dead.

At least 152 others were confirmed injure, including 30 in serious condition.

Thank you for taking your time to listen and any support you can provide.
