South Coast Gulls. Advice and Resource Forum
hi
thank you for looking
its sad to say that right now there are now too many people asking for help/assistance, (even a free taxi service) than there are unpaid people to help and the sector as a whole is utterly decimated. More people than ever have walked away and the ability for people within the sector to even be nice to each other has now been lost. Closures of sites are happening all over the UK and more will be lost before next Spring. We are already seeing on sites such as facebook that people are constantly passing on the responsibility to unpaid people to pick up, house, feed and to some extent, rehab birds themselves. Nothing is sustainable anymore and it is utterly soul destroying.
Whatever is raised from here on in will go towards the ongoing care and support of these much maligned birds, wherever they are located. Its a desperate situation for all of the lone rehabbers who are trying to cope amid so much that is stacked against them right now. Wildlife rescue is hard enough with no volunteers helping. Gull rescues, finding places to take them to and their upkeep are a hundred times harder.
For anyone who is uncomfortable about donating to to a funding site where percentages are taken, please feel free to send a message and list your area. I will then put you in touch with alternative options or contacts. Amazon wishlists are also available. see below.
PLEASE HELP... BEFORE THERE IS NO MORE HELP
