South Buffalo Vandalism

Hi, my name is Johanna Cage, I am a mother of 3 and I live in South Buffalo. My significant other was at work on South Park Avenue when this incident occurred (9/14/2023), he was working a 12 hour shift last night, on his day off. He works extremely hard and long hours each week at a factory to make ends meet. He literally got paid yesterday and between $900 coming out of his paycheck in taxes, medical insurance, life insurance, pensions, union dues etc., he was lucky to see a grand and it is literally gone in bills/ food/ supplies etc., for a family of 5. I’m a nurse yet I’m currently out of work for “whistleblowing,” that’s a long story, I reported suspected abuse and was subsequently terminated, I am actively seeking comparable employment. With all of that said, it’s back to school, I have not received a dime in unemployment benefits and it’s simply hard to get ahead. Walking outside to your car/the reliable family car at 0400 to see what you work so hard for vandalized and violated is extremely disheartening and unacceptable. Previous to this incident, my car was stolen and damaged from a local 7/11 convenient store also on South Park Avenue. At this time, it is unknown what the expenses will be associated with this latest vandalism but either way, we don’t currently have it for this unnecessary expense.
