Je m’appelle Martin Boyer. Je suis artiste, scénariste et réalisateur au début de mon parcours créatif. J’ai toujours aimé construire et développer une idée, un sentiment ou une histoire.

Depuis six mois, entouré d’ami·e·s proches, nous travaillons sur l’écriture et la réalisation de mon premier court-métrage.

Ce court-métrage est né d’un besoin d’exprimer un regard sur notre société. Il reflète un sentiment que beaucoup d’entre nous partagent : le sacrifice de soi pour une carrière.

JOHN7 est un court-métrage satirique et engagé. Il raconte l’histoire d’un homme issue de la classe moyenne, allant d’échec en échec, prêt à tout pour sa famille. Il décroche un entretien dans une grande entreprise, symbole d’une société absurde et déshumanisante, évoluant toujours plus vite.

À travers ce film, je veux mettre en lumière ce sentiment d’injustice silencieuse que beaucoup ressentent sans toujours pouvoir le nommer.

My name is Martin Boyer. I am an aspiring artist, screenwriter, and director. I have always loved creating and developing an idea, a feeling, or a story.

For the past six months, surrounded by close friends, we have been working on writing and producing my first short film.

This short film was born from a need to express a perspective on our society. It reflects a feeling that many of us share: sacrificing oneself for a career.

JOHN7 is a satirical and socially engaged short film. It tells the story of a middle-class man, going from failure to failure, ready to do anything for his family. He obtains a job interview at a large company — a symbol of an absurd and dehumanizing society that is constantly accelerating.

Through this film, I want to shed light on that quiet sense of injustice that many people feel without always being able to name it.
