Update: Mon ami et coéquipier Kevin, qui avait également été sélectionné pour représenter le Canada cette année, ne pourra malheureusement pas participer en raison d’une blessure. Je tiens à lui souhaiter un prompt rétablissement et à souligner tout le travail et la détermination qu’il a investis pour atteindre ce niveau. Cette campagne avait initialement été pensée comme un projet commun avec lui, mais j’ai désormais adapté son contenu pour refléter uniquement mon parcours et mes besoins. Je m'appelle Grégory Gauvin, un combattant passionné qui consacre depuis des années tout son cœur à ce sport. Aujourd’hui, j’ai l’immense honneur de vous annoncer que j’ai été sélectionné pour représenter le Canada aux Championnats du Monde IFMA 2025 en Turquie!

Mon parcours

Après avoir représenté le Canada aux Championnats du Monde IFMA en 2022 (Abu Dhabi) et en 2023 (Bangkok), j’ai remporté les Championnats Canadiens CMTO en 2024, ce qui m’a permis de gagner ma place au sein de l’équipe nationale pour l’IFMA 2025. Le Muay Thai est bien plus qu’un sport pour moi — c’est un véritable mode de vie qui m’a forgé et m’a poussé à grandir année après année.

Pourquoi ai-je besoin de votre aide ?

Participer à un championnat du monde est un honneur incroyable, mais cela engendre aussi des coûts importants. Contrairement à d’autres sports, le Muay Thai amateur ne bénéficie d’aucun financement public au Canada. Je dois donc assumer personnellement les frais suivants :

Update: My friend and teammate Kevin, who had also been selected to represent Canada this year, will unfortunately not be able to participate due to an injury. I want to wish him a speedy recovery and acknowledge all the hard work and determination he put in to reach this level. This campaign was originally created as a joint project with him, but I have now updated the content to reflect only my journey and needs. My Journey

After representing Canada at the IFMA World Championships in 2022 (Abu Dhabi) and 2023 (Bangkok), I won the CMTO Canadian Championships in 2024, earning my place on the national team for IFMA 2025. Muay Thai is more than just a sport to me — it's a way of life that has shaped who I am and pushed me to grow year after year.
