Nous avons une nouvelle incroyable à partager :

Darius-Sterean, un jeune joueur talentueux de water-polo de l'EAU Laval, a été sélectionné parmi les 14 meilleurs athlètes du pays pour représenter le Canada aux prochains Championnats panaméricains 15U de water-polo, qui se tiendront à Bauru, au Brésil, du 1er au 7 septembre 2025 !

Cette sélection dans l'équipe nationale est une reconnaissance extraordinaire du talent, du travail acharné et de la passion de Darius-Sterean pour le water-polo.

Cependant, cette opportunité vient aussi avec des frais importants liés au voyage,à l'hébergement, aux entraînements et à la participation à la compétition.

Nous lançons donc cette collecte de fonds pour aider Darius-Sterean à réaliser son rêve de représenter son pays sur la scène internationale.

Un parcours remarquable vers l'excellence

Darius a découvert sa passion pour le water-polo en 2021 lorsqu'il a rejoint le Club Water-Polo de Laval.

Après sept années de natation, il a immédiatement montré un talent prometteur pour water-polo. Dès la première année, il s'est révéléêtre l'un des meilleurs athlètes, gagnant la reconnaissance grâce à son travail acharné et sa détermination.

Au fil des années, ses performances exceptionnelles ont été mises à l'honneur au Gala Méritas et Gala sportif lavallois 2025!

• 2021-2022 :Meilleur joueur défensif M13

• 2022-2024 :Meilleur joueur offensif pour la catégorie M15-17

En plus de ses réalisations sur le terrain, Darius-Sterean est également engagé dans son perfectionnement et sa formation continue.

L'année dernière, il est devenu Arbitre de sport communautaire certifié par Water Polo Québec, démontrant ainsi son implication dans le développement du sport.

Ce printemps, il poursuit sa progression en suivant la formation avancée de Sauveteur National, renforçant ses compétences en leadership et en sécurité aquatique.

Par ailleurs, Darius-Sterean a été sélectionné pour faire partie de l'Équipe Québec pendant trois années consécutives, solidifiant sa place parmi les talents émergents du water-polo québécois.

Son objectif principal ne s'arrête pas à sa participation aux Championnats panaméricains 15U à Bauru, au Brésil, en septembre 2025. Darius-Sterean est déterminéà améliorer constamment ses performances pour se préparer aux qualifications des Championnats du monde respectifs en 2026.

Ce mélange de talent, d'ambition et de discipline fait de Darius-Sterean un véritable modèle pour les jeunes athlètes et un espoir prometteur du water-polo canadien.

Darius-Sterean has been selected as one of the top 14 athletes in the country to represent Canada at the upcoming Pan American 15U Water Polo Championships, which will be held in Bauru, Brazil, from September 1 to 7, 2025!

This selection to the national team is an extraordinary recognition of Darius's talent, hard work, and passion for water polo.

However, this opportunity also comes with significant costs related to travel, accommodation, training, and participation in the competition.

A remarkable journey towards excellence Darius discovered his passion for water polo in 2021 when he joined the Club Water-Polo de Laval.

After seven years of swimming, he immediately showed promising talent for the water-polo. In his first year, he stood out as one of the best athletes, a well-deserved recognition thanks to his hard work and determination.

Over the years, his exceptional performances have been celebrated at the Gala Méritas:

2021-2022: Best Defensive Player M13

2022-2024: Best Offensive Player for the M15-17 category

In addition to his achievements in the pool, Darius is also committed to continuous improvement and development.

Last year, he became a certified Community Sports Referee through Water Polo Québec, showcasing his dedication to the sport’s growth.

This spring, he continues his progress by undergoing advanced National Lifeguard training, enhancing his leadership and aquatic safety skills.

Furthermore, Darius-Sterean has been selected to be part of Team Quebec for three consecutive years, solidifying his place among Quebec’s emerging water polo talents.

His ultimate goal doesn’t stop at participating in the Pan American 15U Championships in Bauru, Brazil, in September 2025. Darius is determined to continuously improve his performance as he prepares for the respective World Championship qualifications in 2026.
