Sour Cream’s life saving FIP Treatment
Donation protected
Originally I wasn’t planning on adopting Sour Cream, but when I discovered that she hadn't been adopted due to health issues I came back to the shelter. I felt compelled to help her and believed she deserved a loving home. She had an eye condition caused by her mother's feline herpes and suffered from wobbly cat syndrome, which was initially misdiagnosed.
At first she was an active cat, but she progressively struggled to walk and experienced accidents due to her inability to use the litter box without falling. She lost weight, lacked appetite, and suffered from full-body spasms.
After numerous vet visits, Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) was suggested, a disease with a 90% mortality rate and no cure, and I was advised to euthanize Sour Cream. Determined to find a solution, I conducted research and connected with an online support group for cats with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).
With guidance from another member, I learned how to administer treatment, prompting me to start this GoFundMe campaign.
The treatment for FIP is expensive but highly effective, involving daily injections and oral medication. All donations will go towards covering Sour Cream's treatment and veterinary expenses.
