My name is Lamont Harris, also known as Chef Lamont, and I am a disabled Veteran who has dedicated my life to feeding the homeless and less fortunate. Since 2007, I have been serving my community both locally and out of state, providing meals and support to those who need it most. My journey began while working at the V.A. hospital—every day after work, I would see people eating out of garbage cans, and it deeply troubled me. Knowing I could go home to a hot meal and a warm bed, I felt compelled to make a difference. From that moment on, I made it my mission to help those who are less fortunate.

Unfortunately, I am now facing major setbacks that threaten my ability to continue this work. My car has died and my bus was vandalized, leaving me without transportation to deliver meals and supplies. Serving the less fortunate has been my way of fighting PTSD and depression, and losing this lifeline has been incredibly difficult. I have found a replacement vehicle—a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica—but I need help to purchase it so I can get back on the road and continue serving my community.

Normally, I wouldn’t ask for help, but I know that sometimes we all need a little support. If you can find it in your heart to be generous, please consider donating to help me continue my mission of feeding those in need. Your support will make a real difference, not just for me, but for the many people who rely on these meals. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
