Sound Support for BLM Organizers

Dear Friends and Family,
Clear sound is an essential part the Black Lives Matter protests happening here in New York City. Megaphones are only so loud. PA systems are cumbersome to transport to various locations in one weekend, or to carry on marches and bike rides through the streets.
To give background, a New York-based Black Lives Matter group called Warriors in the Garden asked a family member for sound support at protests. While sourcing equipment and listening to many BLM organizers, it became clear that investment in the tool of sound is a tangible, direct way to amplify the voices and messages of activists leading this movement.
With feedback from BLM organizers, an audio engineer, and a production manager an audio kit was assembled. The “Half-Mile Hailer” speaker reaches half a mile and is specifically made to amplify the frequency of a human speaking voice. Words carry loudly and clearly outdoors. It is easy to operate and portable. A handful of kits have already been purchased and distributed to activist groups listed below. In support of Black Lives Matter, the speaker manufacturer agreed to a discounted price. Accessories are purchased at an industry discount thanks to a production manager friend.
This fund is for more speakers and accessories to fulfill additional organizer requests. Please consider joining in this investment.

$363 for the speaker - here is a demo video
$58 for speaker stand
$25 for small cart so they can be carried on the marches
