Noise (Short Film) Written and Directed by Andrew St. John
Donation protected
From the gritty underground music scene, to the edge of stardom "Noise" follows David, a stubborn drummer, and Anna, the ambitious singer/songwriter as they struggle for success while navigating their own relationship. Set against the backdrop of three critical shows, the film captures the raw energy and emotion of the two trying to follow their dreams together in real time.
My name is Andrew St. John, and I am the writer and director of Noise. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Sacramento, California after high school to pursue filmmaking, which landed me at UCSB in the fall of 2022. After moving across the country once, and then across the state two years later, I have learned that at times following your dreams can come at a price. In this film, I want to explore the cost of success, and truly how hard it is to follow one's dream, and how it can affect even the most enduring relationships.
In order to make this passion project a reality, we absolutely need the help of generous patrons such as yourselves!
