After 15 years serving in full-time ministry, I recently stepped away from my role on staff at a multi-campus church. Throughout my journey, I have often wrestled with the question: who pastors the pastors, and who shepherds the shepherds? The statistics are sobering—70% of pastors don’t have close friends, 56% of pastors’ spouses feel isolated, and 90% of pastors are coping with ministry demands in unhealthy ways. The pastoral vocation is also the second highest for divorce rates. These realities have weighed heavily on my heart and inspired me to pursue a new calling.

I feel led to focus on providing soul care, mentorship, and community for pastors. Before I can pour into others, I know I need to walk through my own recovery and replenishing from years in ministry. That’s why I am seeking support to attend a retreat hosted by the 10 | Ten Project, designed specifically for pastors like me. At this retreat, I hope to find community, resources, mentorship, coaching, and spiritual formation. I want to experience firsthand what soul care can look like, so I can authentically create a model that will help others thrive.
Your support will help me take this important step. By contributing, you’re not only investing in my journey of flourishing and growth, but also in the future of countless pastors and their families who need care. Thank you for considering a gift to help me attend this retreat and begin building a new path for soul care.
