Mio fratello Carlito è un ragazzo di 36 anni pieno di vita ed amato da tutti (tanti) i suoi amici!
Sino a Giugno era attivissimo nel suo lavoro (nel Cinema), con lo sport, la palestra, e ballava ogni weekend.
Ma ora quel corpo è sempre fermo su un letto...
A Giugno ha scoperto che c'era una massa che cresceva sull'osso sacro.
In poche settimane si è ridotto ad avere dolori che non lo fanno più dormire, a portare il panno ed il catetere, ed avere prospettive bruttissime.
L'unica alternativa che gli possa permettere di rimuovere la massa con buone probabilità che non ritorni, e soprattutto recuperare le funzioni perse, è un intervento costoso eseguito da un solo neurochirurgo al mondo.
Sino ad ora tutta la mia famiglia non si è mai tirata indietro, ma purtroppo le spese sostenute fin'ora si sono rivelate molto elevate, e quelle future lo saranno molto di più... questo mi ha portato a chiedere aiuto.
Le spese riguardano i costi dell'intervento e ricoveri non coperti dall'assicurazione, tutte le spese mediche del post-operatorio (8 mesi di riabilitazione), le spese extra sostenute dai nostri genitori che si sono trasferiti a Roma (mio fratello ha ed avrà bisogno di assistenza H24), e qualsiasi altra spesa provocata dalla malattia.

My brother Carlito is 36 years old, full of life and loved by all (many) of his friends!
Until June, he was very active in his work (in the film industry), playing sports, going to the gym, and dancing every weekend.
But now he is bed-ridden.
In June, a mass was discovered in his sacrum.
Over the course of only a few weeks, he went from sleep-depriving pain to now wearing a diaper and a catheter, and facing a grim outlook.
The only option that would allow the removal of the mass (in such a way that it does not recur), as well as to restore his lost neurological functions, is an expensive operation performed by only one neurosurgeon in the world.
Up until now, my entire family has never complained, but unfortunately, the expenses incurred so far have proven very high, and future ones will be even higher... this led me to ask for help.
The expenses include the cost of the surgery and hospital stays not covered by insurance, all post-operative medical expenses (eight months of rehabilitation), the additional expenses incurred by our parents who moved to Rome (my brother has and will require 24-hour care), and any other expenses related to the disease.
