Hi friends! I need your help! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Candace Luna (some of you know me as Luna) and I am the mother of a sweet and brilliant 7 year old boy named Nash.
Nash and I moved to Willits 2 years ago to create a new life for the two of us. Throughout this time we have found an amazing community of friends who are like family and an environment where Nash is thriving and he gets to enjoy playing with friends, being creative,
enjoying nature, and just being a kid.
I have had a 50/50 custody agreement with his father and I have been taking care of Nash as a single mom since the end of my relationship with his dad.
Unfortunately right now I am in a ugly custody battle with Nash’s dad which could result in Nash not having his mom at least half the time and also leaving our community.
I really need your help funding my legal defense so I can fight this custody battle for the sake of Nash’s happiness and well-being.
To be honest I hate asking anyone for help, especially when it comes to financial issues. But this is something way too important to give up on because I don’t have the financial means to do so.
Yes I can go to court again without legal aid, but from a prior court appearance involving custody with Nash’s dad and what resulted from that, I just can’t risk that happening again.
My heart breaks to see how Nash is being effected by this custody battle and all I want for my son is for him to have both of his parents EQUALLY. I’m not trying to take him away from the life he has with his father, but I need his father to see the life Nash has with me is just as Important.
I wanted to throw a fundraiser for this cause but with Covid and everyone being busy with their own lives I figured this would be the optimal way to ask for help.
