Hello. My name is Fared Hameda and I am a Palestinian living in Gaza. These are my three daughters in the picture. If you didn't know, we are currently living in a war zone for almost three years now.

It is very difficult to explain what life is like in Gaza. More than 90% of our homes (yes, homes) are damaged or destroyed. We have no civil infrastructure, no running water, no fuel, no food, no medicine. Whatever food we can get are basic items like dried or canned food and not enough of that either. We virtually have no fresh food like fruits and veg. I struggle to provide food to feed my three young children daily.

Even when there is food available, cost is a high wall that stops most of us accessing that food. We have no jobs, no work, no land to make a living and earn a salary. It costs around $25 a week to provide the basic food items for my family. Other household items like soap, toothpaste, detergent etc are mostly out of my reach. If my children get sick, even if I had the money, I could not buy any medicine because there isn't any. People including children are having surgeries including amputation without any anaesthetics. Just imagine that.

We are Palestinians and we are a proud people. We have been surviving in inhospitable conditions for 75 years. However, this current situation is something extraordinary and inhumane beyond words. Help me and my family survive this genocide. I'm asking for your help. £500 will help my family survive the next six months in this living hell. The money will be spent to buy food and basic items for my children. Thank you.
