SOS for Bec and kids

Hi, my name is Narelle and a bunch of us are hoping to raise funds to help out a very close friend going through some serious ill health. Our lovely friend is someone we care deeply about and she has found herself in a very stressful financial situation due to a medical diagnosis that is no fault of her own.

Our mate has been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis - an autoimmune disease that attacks her spine and she is living with daily chronic pain, reduced mobility and - not surprisingly! - some resultant debilitating mental health issues.

Bec is a loving single Mum of two and a great friend to many. She is very active in our little community as a singer and performer, often giving her time to charities and to our local theatre.

She has been diagnosed with an inflammatory autoimmune arthritis that on her worst days renders her unable to walk. It also causes overwhelming fatigue and the kind of brain fog that makes daily tasks very difficult if not impossible to perform. Because of all this she has had to leave a job she loves and the financial stressors of being unemployed are mounting up - all of which just adds to the mental burden!

We hope to raise enough to allow us to help Bec to have some respite and time to heal and to hopefully pay for much needed treatments that are currently unavailable under Australia’s public health system. Even just giving her a bit of a breather on rent and some piling up expenses would be amazing. Every little bit counts!
