We are Nancy and Michael Driscoll.

We volunteer with a refugee family of four who arrived in the USA in 2021 with three suitcases and a lot of hope. They have been working hard to find safe housing and support themselves through education and hard work.

Unfortunately, the father had the misfortune of having his car sideswiped by another vehicle on his way home from work. He was in the turning lane, with his signal on when another vehicle tried to pass him on the left, illegally. Luckily, no one was injured in the collision. Due to financial restrictions, he did not have collision insurance and the other insurance company has denied his claim. There was extensive damage on the driver's side of the car and repairs are estimated at $10,200. The family has $400 in the bank that needs to go toward rent at the end of the month. This is a family that lives "on the edge"; pay check to pay check. Their car is vital for the father to get to his job as an electrician and support other extended family members who the father picks up from their jobs when buses are unavailable.
