SOS! Eric needs help to keep his apartment

Dear friends, my name is Eric Lawson. I lost my job in January. I was already behind on bills due to economic hardship caused by Hurricane Helene last fall. It has been two months and I'm at my wits end. I am still a month behind on rent. $1000 of the total will go to paying late rent. The rest will go towards everything else. Most importantly to me, this unforeseen economic hardship also affects my plans to return to California this year to be with my daughter.
