A Fire Broke Out at SORRISO-BarCelona in Pasadena.

In the middle of this Pandemic - we had a horrible fire @ SORRISO-Bar Celona!
Sunday night, 1/17/21, 6:30pm - an electrical fire started behind the walls of our kitchen. Fortunately, thanks to the quick response of the Pasadena Fire Department no one was hurt and the fire was eventually contained. But our beautiful restaurant is a mess - smoke & water everywhere! Sadly, our kitchen was destroyed as the walls and ceiling were opened up to search for the source of the fire. The offices above us suffered extensive damage as well. With the fire, smoke and water damage it looks like it’s going to be at least a couple of months before everything is re-built and we'll be able to re-open. In the meantime, we have about 40 employees from SORRISO-BarCelona who have been out of work due to the pandemic!
That is why we have set up this GoFundMe page with a twist!- we are asking our friends and guests to please consider making a contribution. In exchange, WE WILL PROVIDE EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTES A DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR GIFT CERTIFICATE when we reopen. So for example, if you contribute $20, we will provide you with a gift certificate for $20 when we reopen. We will keep track of everyone who contributes. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please share this with your friends and family if you can!
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years and especially during the Pandemic. As a small business, we are proud that we have been here for almost 30 years, but we wouldn’t have made it this far without you. And now we hope we can count on you to help us and our team members.
