"Sororophobia" by Laney Lynch: Support Queer Art
Donation protected
How your donation will help:
Your donation will help us in a multitude of ways. As you may or may not know, creating theatre can be quite expensive, especially new work. Your donations will allow us to secure venues, market to audiences, and design a show that people will enjoy watching! Funding will primarily be used for: paint, set pieces, props, costumes, performance space, and for any financial obstacles we face. This is an independent performance that depends on support from the community
Please consider donating to the production of “Sororophobia” by Laney Lynch; she's a midwestern artist who creates based on her awkward, queer, and imperfect life. Being a girl, transitioning to a woman Laney has tracked her evolution through her body of work and this is not an exception. "Sororophobia" will be produced from now until early may when it will be performed at Elon University with a cast of talented students! Along with this, "Sororophobia" is currently being produced and performed at Laney's Alma Mater, Holland High. Every donation we receive goes directly into taking this production to the next level. If you can’t donate now, know that Laney is always creating and needs your continuous support. Thank you in advance for supporting queer, female art; see you in the spring!!
Show synopsis:
Sororophobia: (Noun) both the desire for and the recoil from identification with other women
"Sororophobia" is a fast paced and energetic dark comedy! Five tween girls team up to summon a demon and have their BIGGEST SECRETS dangled in front of them like a carrot on a stick. The abstract 2010 technology and an eerie, queer demon follow the girls on their journey through the new frontier of body image, female relationships, and queer love.
