Michael Soriano's Medical and Family Expenses
Donation protected
On Sunday, May 19 at 3 am, our dear friends, the Sorianos, experienced a life-changing event. Michael woke Raissa up in the middle of the night complaining of a headache. He was rushed to HOAG where he was diagnosed with a hemorrhagic stroke and underwent surgery to stop the bleed and decrease the intracranial pressure. Doctors have told Raissa, if he survives, there is possibility that he may be facing paralysis on the right side of his body as well as possible cognitive deficits. Since his surgery, Michael remains in critical condition in ICU as he fights for his life. Raissa sits by his bedside, praying and hoping for any progress in his condition.
For those who don't know the Sorianos, they are one of the most generous, loving, and loyal friends anyone could ask for. The Sorianos devote much of their time and effort into giving back to the community, through volunteering their time, donations or just being great friends. Raissa always makes every effort to help out without ever wanting any acknowledgement or praise. Michael is always driving across town from meeting to meeting through rush hour traffic, but somehow manages to make it to every game and practice for their two wonderful boys, Carlo (5) and Geoff (12). Anywhere the Sorianos are, there is always a little party. Raissa always packs enough snacks for the whole team, including the parents or anyone else sitting nearby. If your children attend Vista Verde School in Irvine, CA, or play on any team sports with either of their boys, there is no doubt Raissa has been there to help your child. No matter what kind of day they've had, they greet you with a huge smile and hug. Michael is especially known for his big, warm, bear hugs, which is just one of the many ways he shows his generous and loving heart.

We are all in pain watching this beautiful family go through such a horrendous experience. We kindly ask you to help the Sorianos in this time of need. Michael is self-employed and the sole breadwinner of the family, which makes this situation especially difficult. Michael has a very long road to recovery, with the likelihood of not working again. We are raising funds to support the rising medical expenses and loss of income during this trying time. All donations will be going directly to the Soriano family. Anything you can contribute will be a blessing. The Sorianos have always, without any hesitation, given their time, money and hearts to us all, whether it be friends, school or community. Please help us come together to support this loving family with prayers and action.
If you'd like to donate with the exclusion of mandatory fees, please donate directly through venmo (@mrsoriano) or zelle account ([email redacted]). An alternative has also been suggested to make monthly donations instead of a lump sum; however this page does not have the ability to manage this so donors would have to set your own reminders if this is preferred.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the continued love and support towards this incredible family. We will continue to provide updates with regard to Michael's progress and recovery.
There has been an outpouring of inquiries regarding a meal train; we will provide additional information on this page once one is organized.
