It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Uncle Sophorn. He was more than just an uncle, but a brother, a son, and a friend to everyone who knew him.

My mom cherished him deeply as her older brother. Even during his sickness, when his body was weak, his laugh was loud and unforgettable.

Our family is heartbroken. While we grieve this great loss, we are also facing the difficult reality of covering funeral costs to honor him the way he deserves. We want to give him a proper farewell that reflects the love we hold deeply for him.

“This week, my dear brother left this world, and now there are only three of us siblings left.

May God rest his soul. We endured so much together, surviving the Khmer Rouge and the Vietnamese invasion, side by side as five. My father, God rest his soul, my two brothers and big sister-we were the last five that survived the genocide. Those struggles shaped who we are, and we carried each other through them.

It breaks my heart to say goodbye, but I hold onto the hope that in his next life, he will never have to suffer the way he did in this one and that he will know peace, comfort, and joy.
