Sophina Strong

On behalf of Monica and myself, we have decided to help a fellow co-worker and friend whose become family. Cpl Michael Gero is out of work from the Northfield Police Department, where he is with his sweet ray of sunshine, Sophina. Sophina is nine years old. Sophina was flown to Boston Children's Hospital, where she is currently placed in the Cardiac ICU; she will remain there for an unknown amount of time. Sophina was flown from Burlington, Vermont, to Boston for heart failure. Sophina has been diagnosed with Cardio Myopathy and has an extremely large blood clot in the lower right-hand portion of her heart. The family does have health insurance, but due to medical expenses often being unknown, we ask that you please donate to the family if you have money to spare.

 

To anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting this little girl, she is a ray of sunshine. She will instantly turn your frown upside down. She loves all animals, helps others in need, and strives always to do what is right.
