Sophie's Journey to Recovery - let's help Marie and Andy!

I am a friend, of Marie and Andy Pickard, parents to the beautiful Sophie. As you may already know, Sophie has been struggling to recover these past few weeks from what was just initially eating some tree bark. After her initial treatment, she has struggled to be able to walk and poop despite receiving outstanding care from her humans. She has taken a turn for the worse again and taken to the hospital due to increased pain and then tachycardia rhythm in her heart (likely due to the extreme pain). She has remained at the hospital for several days in order to keep her pain free and monitor her heart closely. The good news is currently her heart appears to be normal until Sophie has to get up to change position and stretch her legs. However, she has an MRI in her near future with a high potential for surgery immediately after.

Marie is retired and her and Andy have already spent $25,152.77 towards Sophie's care. They do have insurance but that may only reimburse up to $10,500. That leaves an outstanding balance of $14,652. Anyone who knows Andy and Marie knows what amazing people they are and how much they contribute to the Great Dane community. Please, let us help them for once as they are too humble to ask! Any little bit that you can spare will help them. This money will go straight to them. If I can get information for direct payments to the hospital, I will post an update.
