Sophie's Hyrox fitness challenge
Hello peeps!
I'm back with a new fundraising challenge to raise money and awareness for two incredible charities and I hope you can support me. As some of you may know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on October 10th it is World Mental Health Day. For my fundraiser this year I would like to support both the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Mind, here's why…
Mind:- The mental health charity Mind is very dear to my heart. Over the past 15+ years, I have suffered from mental health conditions and in 2018 I hit rock bottom. Thanks to Mind I was able to access the support and resources I needed in a time of crisis. They are an amazing charity they campaign to improve our mental health system, empower people to understand their condition and help raise awareness.
BCRF:- The BCRF has been involved in all major breakthroughs in breast cancer research in the last 20 years. There is no cure for Breast Cancer and we need to keep fighting especially now it is the most diagnosed cancer globally. More than 2 million people were diagnosed in 2020 and more than 600,000 people died, largely due to Metastatic Breast Cancer. This needs to change!
For my annual fundraiser, I have signed up to participate in the functional fitness competition Hyrox in the women's open. I know what you're thinking, what the flippin' eck is Hyrox…So what is the Hyrox concept? It is a World Series of Fitness Racing that includes running and functional fitness stations in an indoor arena. You complete 1km of running followed by 1 workout station, repeated 8 times. It runs as follows…

The event is taking place on Saturday 15th October. I would be forever grateful if you could show your support by donating a few pennies, but I appreciate times are hard right now so if that is not possible, please help spread the amazing work these two charities do and help spread awareness.
Thank you so much,
