sophie saves lives- mitzvah project

Donation protected
Years ago I was diagnosed with Sinus Node Dysfunction, which causes physiologically inappropriate atrial rates (weird heartbeats with long pauses for me).
In my case, it kept getting worse, leading to me having a pacemaker implanted a few months ago.
Luckily I'm fine and doing great, but spending time in the hospital on a regular basis for testing, and during and after the surgery, I saw a ton of children and families that were much worse off.
Families that couldn't afford treatments, families that couldn't afford to miss work to be with their children, and children sitting alone and feeling hopeless.
My goal is to create awareness and raise money to bring resources to the Children's Hospital of Detroit and Foundation where my doctor is, and where my surgery was.
Not only will this be my Mitzvah Project for my upcoming Bat Mitzvah, but an ongoing commitment, as this isn't something that goes away.
But- I feel great now and hope to be playing tennis again soon!
